The field
The Village is where Splitrail started in 2014, on the lot of the old tree nursery: fourteen plywood buildings along a dirt main street, a church tower with a view of both ends and a two-story fort at the north edge.
Most games here have a job to do. Hold the fort for fifteen minutes, carry the flag from the bank to the church, or clear the street house by house. Windows and doorways keep the fights close, so even new players are in the action.
It’s the field we give most birthday groups and company teams on their first visit. The referee picks the games for your group and changes them up when one side starts winning every round.
