The field
The Grid lives in the old equipment barn: 6,000 square feet of plywood walls, ramps and a catwalk level, lit with black lights and a little fog.
Players wear a vest and carry an infrared blaster, so nothing hurts and nobody gets dirty. Scores show up on the screen by the door after every game.
It’s indoors and heated, so it runs in any weather. Paintball groups move here when lightning closes the fields, and younger siblings play here during big parties.
